When assembling this bearing it is important that the inner race is fitted in the correct orientation. On one end of the inner race there is a flange; the flanged end should be fitted on the lower side of the bearing, such that the flange sits in the shroud below the bearing.

When assembling the bearing, make sure that the inner race enters the outer pefectly squarely. Because the running clearance is very small, it is easy to get the bearing jammed if it tilts very slightly, and this can cause the rollers to produce indentatons on the outer race and damage it.
